On January 1, 2007, the Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) applied the annual 2007 Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) additions, changes and deletions, effective for dates of service on or after January 1, 2007. The Texas Medicaid Program is adopting a number of procedure codes during the 2007 HCPCS implementation that must go through the rate hearing process, as required by Chapter 32 of the Human Resources Code, §32.0282, and Title 1 of the Texas Administrative Code, §355.201, which require public hearings to receive comments on Medicaid payment rates. This webpage has been created to provide updates as reimbursement rates are established. Providers are encouraged to refer to the webpage regularly for these updates.

2007 HCPCS Rates for Type of Service 4, I, T, 2, and 8 Procedure Codes Information posted December 3, 2007: On October 30, 2007, type of service 4, I, T, 2, and 8 procedure codes were assigned reimbursement rates at a public rate hearing. The benefits and limitations for these codes were listed in the January 2007 Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) Special Bulletin, No. 200. Click on the title to view the details. | Correction to “2007 HCPCS Rates” Article for Procedure Code 1-S0180 Information posted November 12, 2007: This is a correction to information published in the January 2007 HCPCS Special Bulletin, No. 200. The bulletin incorrectly indicated that procedure code 1-S0180 is a benefit of the Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) Services Program. Effective for dates of service on or after January 1, 2007, procedure code 1-S0180 is not a benefit of the CSHCN Services Program. In addition, an article entitled, “2007 HCPCS Rates” was published on this website on October 1, 2007, which included procedure code 1-S0180. The article should have indicated that procedure code 1-S0180 is not a benefit of the CSHCN Services Program. | 2007 HCPCS Update Rate Hearing Website Information posted February 5, 2007: As a reminder, the Texas Medicaid Program is adopting a number of procedure codes during the 2007 HCPCS implementation that must go through the rate hearing process, as required by Chapter 32 of the Human Resources Code, §32.0282, and Title 1 of the Texas Administrative Code, §355.201, which require public hearings to receive comments on Medicaid payment rates.
