24.4.2 Benefits, Limitations, and Authorization Requirements
Medical nutritional products may be reimbursed by the CSHCN Services Program when the client has a specialized nutritional requirement. Medical nutritional products are those nutritional products that serve as a therapeutic agent for life and health and are part of a treatment regimen. The CSHCN Services Program does not cover nutritional products for individuals who can be sustained on an age-appropriate diet.
