4.3.3.2 Physician Oversight ServicesPhysician oversight is defined as "physician supervision of clients under the care of home health agencies or hospices that require complex or multidisciplinary care modalities." These modalities involve regular physician client status review of related laboratory and other studies, communication with other health professionals involved in patient care, integration of new information into medical treatment plans, and adjustment of medical therapy. Medicaid hospice does not reimburse for physician oversight services. Refer to: "Claims Filing" for information about how to file hospice claims. |
