4.13 Medicaid Managed Care

The Medicaid managed care program consists of two types of health-care delivery systems: HMOs and PCCM. HMOs provide services in the metropolitan areas, including Nueces county.

Programs under managed care include:

•STAR Program

•STAR+PLUS Program

•NorthSTAR Program

•PCCM Program

•PCCM PLUS

•STAR Health (for foster care clients)

•Integrated Care Management (ICM)
