4.14 State Mental Retardation Facilities (State Schools)
Inpatient hospital care for individuals who are eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Medicaid and reside in a state mental retardation facility (State School) must be billed to TMHP. Claims for off-campus acute care services for clients in a state mental retardation facility (state schools) must not be filed to TMHP.
Providers may contact DADS for assistance or information about billing procedures for state school services.
