6.3.42 Organ/Tissue Transplants

Organ/tissue transplants that include bone marrow, peripheral stem cell, heart, intestinal, lung, liver, kidney, pancreas/simultaneous kidney-pancreas, or combined heart/lung are a benefit of Texas Medicaid. Organ/tissue transplants may be reimbursed only when performed in an institution that is fully qualified to perform transplant services.
