8.2.46 OphthalmologyWhen an ophthalmologist sees a client for a minor condition that does not require a complete eye exam, such as conjunctivitis, providers are to use the appropriate office E/M code. Providers are to use the eye exam procedure codes with a diagnosis of ophthalmological disease or injury.
