24.1.5 Exception for E/M Services Furnished in Certain Primary Care Centers
Teaching physicians who provide evaluation and management (E/M) services may bill the CSHCN Services Program for lower- and mid-level E/M services (procedure codes 1-99201, 1-99202, 1-99203, 1-99211, 1-99212, and 1-99213) that are provided by residents, if they meet the primary care exception under Medicare.
