24.3.1 Aerosol Treatments/Inhalation Therapy
Aerosol therapy is a benefit of the CSHCN Services Program for any covered diagnosis or related condition. Continuous inhalation treatment with aerosol medication for acute air-way obstruction (procedure codes 1-94644 and 1-94645) is a benefit of the CSHCN Services Program. On physician claims, nebulizers and metered dose inhaler treatments must be billed with procedure code 1-94640.
