Hurricane Preparedness Webinar Training for Providers June 10

HHSC Long-Term Care Regulation will provide a hurricane season preparedness webinar training for HCS/TxHmL and Individualized Skills and Socialization providers.

This webinar provides guidance for providers and other staff members responsible for emergency preparedness and response, with the goal of ensuring the health and well-being of people under the providers’ care during a hurricane. Topics will include:

  • State requirements of emergency preparedness (for each provider type applicable), including the risk assessment.
  • Phases of emergency management.
  • Core elements required for an emergency plan.

This webinar will not be recorded. Registered nurses who complete the training will receive 1.0 hour of continuing education credit. CE certificates will be sent by email after attendance and evaluation criteria have been confirmed. Attendees must have provided legal name and a valid email address to receive the certificate.

All other attendees will receive a certificate of attendance following completion of the evaluation.
