Taxonomy codes have been added to accommodate free-standing psychiatric hospitals, certain durable medical equipment (DME) vendors, advanced practice nurses (APNs), and physical therapists. Providers are encouraged to review the currently available codes and, if necessary, update their attestation data. 

TMHP urges providers that have not attested to an NPI to complete attestation for all of their current Texas Provider Identifiers (TPIs) as soon as possible.
