LTC14: Nursing Facilities - Reminders on Submitting MDS Assessments
Information posted June 23, 2009: Nursing Facilities - Reminders on Submitting MDS Assessments for Residents who have previously established Permanent Medical Necessity (PMN). In order for the TMHP LTC Online Portal to recognize that a resident has already established permanent MN, the resident’s Medicaid number must be entered in Field AA7 (Medicaid No.). If a resident with PMN receives a pending denial or denied MN, verify if Field AA7 contains the correct Medicaid number. If it does not contain the correct Medicaid number, submit a modification to the CMS State Database to add the Medicaid number.
If the Field AA7 does contain the correct Medicaid number and the resident has previously established PMN Nursing Facilities are reminded to call PCS at 1-512-438-2200, Option 1 regarding denial or pending denials of MN.
