This notice is to further clarify that that if providers choose the “Save LTCMI” button, the MDS/LTCMI is not automatically submitted to the LTC Online Portal. The form is saved and this message is displayed: “The LTCMI has been successfully saved but has not been submitted”. To submit the completed LTCMI for processing on the LTC Online Portal, providers must choose the “Submit Form” button. When an LTCMI is successfully submitted on the LTC Online Portal the provider will see a message at the top of the page that states “Your form has been successfully submitted”. If providers do not see this message, the form has not been submitted to the Portal. It is not necessary to “Save LTCMI” prior to using the “Submit Form” button.
