LTC16: State Schools Name Changed to State Supported Living Centers
Information posted July 31, 2009: Effective June 11, 2009, the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services' 11 state schools (Abilene, Austin, Brenham, Corpus Christi, Denton, Lubbock, Lufkin, Mexia, Richmond, San Angelo and San Antonio) and one state center (El Paso) were renamed “state supported living centers.” The Rio Grande State Center, administered by the Texas Department of State Health Services, is unaffected by this change.
