COVID-19: HHSC Publishes In-Home Day Habilitation Information for Program Providers (Replaces IL 2022-36)

Last updated on 8/30/2022

HHSC is temporarily waiving certain requirements in Section 3710, 4381.3, 4381.7(6) and 4381.7(7) of the HCS Billing Guidelines and TxHmL Guidelines because of COVID-19 and to provide access to needed day habilitation services.

It extends the temporary guidance through Sep. 30, unless the COVID-19 public health emergency ends sooner. HHSC will provide guidance if there are any changes.

HHSC has published a revision to this guidance in IL 2022-48 In-Home Day Habilitation Information for Program Providers for COVID-19 (PDF) on the HHS webpage for Home and Community-based Services, Texas Home Living, local intellectual and developmental disability authority, and financial management services agency program providers. This replaces IL 2022-36.
