Change in PDL Status of Generic Sildenafil Oral Suspension Effective September 25, 2024

The Texas Vendor Drug Program (VDP) has removed the non-preferred status from the generic sildenafil oral suspension products on the Preferred Drug List (PDL). The removal is due to the discontinuation of the preferred brand-name product Revatio oral suspension.

The preferred status of the brand-name Revatio oral suspension products will not change to allow for existing available stock to be used.

These changes allow providers to prescribe the authorized generic sildenafil oral suspension products without requiring a PDL prior authorization and continue accessing necessary medication for clients.
