• Texas Medicaid is the state and federal cooperative program that provides health-care benefits to eligible Texas residents. As the front-line of service for Medicaid clients, this network of dedicated professionals makes health care more accessible to more than 2.5 million Texas residents throughout the state.
  
• Primary Care Case Management (PCCM) is a network of Medicaid primary care providers and hospitals designed to improve the provision of primary and preventive care services to Medicaid clients while ensuring the efficient use of limited Medicaid resources.
  
• Texas Health Steps Medical  (THSteps) is Medicaid's comprehensive preventive child health service for individuals from birth through 20 years of age. THSteps includes periodic medical, vision, hearing and dental screenings.  For more detailed information, please click on the title to access the program's webpage at the Department of State Health Services (DSHS).
  
• Texas Health Steps Dental Services  provides early screening, preventive services, and treatment of dental health problems for individuals from birth through 20 years of age.  For more detailed information, please click on the title to access the program's webpage at the Department of State Health Services (DSHS). 
  
• Case Management for Children and Pregnant Women (CPW) is a Medicaid program that provides health-related case management services to children birth through 20 years of age with a health condition/health risk and to high-risk pregnant women. Case Managers help clients gain access to needed medical, social, educational, and other services. CPW providers are social workers or RNs that work as individuals or are employed by schools, health departments, counseling agencies, health clinics, and other types of agencies. 
  
• Children with Special Healthcare Needs Services Program (CSHCN) Services Program assists children with special needs from birth through 20 years of age, as well as people of any age with Cystic Fibrosis. Providers are the key to getting these children and their families the services and support they need. CSHCN Services Program clients and families receive direct services, such as health benefits, case management, and family support services (like respite care) to improve health, well-being, and quality of life. 
  
• Loan Repayment Program for Medicaid Physicians  and Dentists is a new program, beginning in March 2009. The Children’s Medicaid Loan Repayment Program will provide loan repayments for up to 1,200 physicians and dentists a year. Each doctor will be eligible for up to $140,000 in loan repayments over four years if they meet targets for services provided to children on Medicaid.
