Information posted July 16, 2020

The quarterly Texas National Drug Codes (NDC) to Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) Crosswalk is now available for clinician-administered drug (CAD) processing.

The NDC-to-HCPCS Crosswalk identifies relationships between National Drug Codes and Medicaid reimbursable HCPCS codes. The Health and Human Services Commission publishes the crosswalk monthly, based on quarterly additions to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services list of rebate-eligible drugs and new drugs that are added monthly to the First Databank pricing compendia. The crosswalk is intended to assist providers with accurate claims submission.

The next crosswalk will be available in October 2020.

More information about CAD processing is available on the Texas Vendor Drug Program website. Questions about the file or its usage should be sent by email to vdp-cad@hhsc.state.tx.us.
