Members Sought for Drug Utilization Review Board

Effective immediately, members are being sought for the Drug Utilization Review Board of the Medicaid statewide Drug Utilization Review Program. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) executive commissioner will appoint members to the board to serve a term expiring August 31, 2021, or August 31, 2022, unless otherwise noted. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m., September 28, 2020.

HHSC will consider applicants' qualifications, background, and interest in serving on the board and will try to choose board members who represent the diversity of all Texans. For this reason, HHSC considers applicants' ethnicity, gender, and geographic location.

A Drug Utilization Review Board member must regularly participate in board meetings and other meetings as needed. Board meetings are held about once every three to four months in Austin or at the call of the presiding officer.

Note:To the extent permitted by the current state budget, a member of the Drug Utilization Review Board may be repaid for their travel expenses to and from meetings if funds are available and in accordance with the HHSC Travel Policy.
