DBMD Program Providers Required to Select an EVV Vendor

Effective December 1, 2020 HHSC will require DBMD program providers to use EVV for the following services:

  • Community First Choice Personal Assistance Services/Habilitation
  • In-Home Respite

DBMD program providers are required to select an EVV vendor and complete EVV training to meet the December 1 deadline. The requirement to select an EVV vendor and complete training applies to all contracted DBMD program providers who are:

  • Currently providing services, including those who are not currently providing an EVV-mandated service but may do so at a future date.
  • Not currently serving any people in the DBMD program but may do so at a future date by providing an EVV-mandated service.

Beginning December 1, 2020, service claims for CFC PAS/HAB will be denied by the claims adjudication system and they will not be paid by HHSC if the DBMD program provider has not onboarded with an EVV vendor.
