Federal Fiscal Year 2021 Payment Rates for Medicaid Community Hospice Adopted (IL 2021-02)

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission approved rate changes for the Medicaid Community Hospice program. The payment rates are effective retroactive to October 1, 2020.

HHSC has published IL 2021-02 Federal Fiscal Year 2021 Payment Rates for Medicaid Community Hospice (PDF).

The increased payment rates were calculated per federal regulations on payment for hospice care. This is in Title 42 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 418, Subpart G. Furthermore, 42 CFR 418.306(c) requires that Medicaid hospice payment rates are adjusted every federal fiscal year. Adjustments were made using data issued by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
