Advanced Positive Behavior Management and Support Workshops

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is offering two Advanced Positive Behavior Management and Support workshops free of charge on the following dates:

  • Efficient Approaches to the Assessment and Treatment of Problem Behavior, November 9 – 10, 2021 (via Zoom)
  • Efficient Approaches to the Assessment and Treatment of Problem Behavior, December 7 – 8, 2021 (Norris Conference Centers – Houston/CityCentre)

The workshops are available to the public, including family members, caregivers, providers (educational, geriatric, foster care, and long-term services and supports in the intellectual and developmental disabilities and aging population), Adult Protective Services, case managers, and mental health-care professionals.

Upon completion of the training, HHSC will issue continuing education units (CEUs) for licensed nursing facility administrators, nursing facility activity directors, certified nurse aides, and Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional/Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professionals (QIDP/QDDP).

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) CEUs will be issued by the University of North Texas.
