PPR and PPC Performance Reports for Hospitals Now Available

Last updated on

Hospitals now have access to their 2024 state fiscal year (SFY) Potentially Preventable Readmissions (PPR) and Potentially Preventable Complications (PPC) hospital-level PDF reports and underlying Microsoft Excel data files.

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) delayed the June 1, 2025, release of the PPR and PPC reports as mentioned in the article titled “Update to ‘PPR and PPC Performance Reports for Hospitals Accessible June 1, 2025,’” which was published on tmhp.com on May 29, 2025.

HHSC delayed the release to examine potential impacts to the underlying data related to provider flexibilities for reprocessing claims with dates of service in SFY 2024. Providers can refer to the website article titled “Retroactive Enrollment Periods and Claims Reprocessing” for more information.

Due to the delay, HHSC has temporarily paused the application of reimbursement adjustments to hospitals pending additional data quality inspections.

Accessing the Reports

Hospitals can access the reports in their user accounts on the Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) secure provider portal. To access this portal, visit the TMHP web page and follow these steps:

  1. Click on My Account in the top banner and enter your credentials.
  2. Click on the Potentially Preventable Events (PPE) Provider Reports tab to download the PPR and PPC reports.

Note: Only personnel who routinely access Remittance and Status (R&S) Reports, submit claims, and check eligibility are able to access and download the reports from the portal.

If you need help to access the provider portal or create an account, call the TMHP EDI Help Desk at 888-863-3638.
