Members Sought for the Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Advisory Council

If you’re interested in improving the availability of patient-centered and family-focused palliative care services for families with a member facing a serious illness, you may want to apply to be a member of the Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Advisory Council.

HHSC will consider the applicants' qualifications, background and interest in serving on the council and will choose council members who represent the diversity of all Texans. For this reason, HHSC considers applicants' geographic location.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m., October 3, 2025.

A council member must regularly take part in council meetings. They may also have to take part in subcommittee meetings or other related activities. Council meetings are held about once every three months in Austin or at the call of the presiding officer. Council members may be reimbursed for their travel expenses to and from meetings if money is available and in accordance with the HHSC Travel Policy.
