Updated User Guides and Webinar for HCS and TxHmL Waiver Programs Now Available

Last updated on

The Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) has updated the following user guides and webinar for Home and Community-based Services (HCS) and Texas Home Living (TxHmL) waiver program providers and local intellectual and developmental disability authorities (LIDDAs) to reflect changes in the TMHP Long-Term Care (LTC) Online Portal (LTCOP):

  • LTC HCS and TxHmL Waiver Programs Provider User Guide
  • HCS or TxHmL Pre-enrollment Item-by-Item Guide
  • LTCOP Training for HCS & TxHmL Waiver Programs Webinar, Part One

HCS or TxHmL Pre-enrollment Form Enhancements

The updated training materials reflect LTCOP enhancements to the HCS or TxHmL Pre-enrollment form. TMHP has added a required field and a required attachment to improve monitoring and reporting for participation in the Money Follows the Person Demonstration (MFPD).

New Required Field

The A1300.MFP Demo section now includes a required Yes/No drop-down field that asks: “Has the person been living in an institutional setting for 60 consecutive days prior to enrollment?”

  • If Yes is selected, a pop-up will prompt the LIDDA to attach the signed Form 1580.
  • If No is selected, no pop-up will appear.

New Attachment Requirement

The “Upload Attachments – Required Forms” section will now include Form 1580, Texas Money Follows the Person Demonstration (MFPD) Project Informed Consent for Participation.

How to Access the Training Materials

Providers and LIDDAs can access the updated user guides and webinar in one of the following ways:

New LMS users can access materials and take courses immediately after they register. Providers and LIDDAs can always access computer-based trainings (CBTs) and additional training materials on the LMS.
