Trading Partner Testing Environment for Updated EDI Transaction Process Is Now Available

Last updated on

The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) trading partner testing environment for the Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) is now available. SFTP will replace the Cisco virtual private network (VPN) as outlined in the Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) EDI Connectivity Guide. All batch submitters can begin testing immediately.

Important: Trading partners must complete testing by July 31, 2026. During the testing period, batch submitters must verify successful connectivity and migrate to the new SFTP method. TMHP will disable the VPN connection on August 1, 2026.

For questions about trading partner testing, batch submitters can email ediconnectivitysupport@tmhp.com.

TMHP has revised the EDI Connectivity Guide to reflect the connectivity change. Check tmhp.com regularly for further updates.

Note: This connectivity change applies only to batch submitters of EDI transactions (837IPD, 835, 270, 276, 275, 278, 277, and FIN). Real-time and SafeHarbor submitters and those who already submit through an SFTP connection will not be affected.

For more information, call the TMHP Contact Center at 800-925-9126.
