Meet Elsie: TMHP’s New Virtual Assistant

Visitors to the Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) website can now use a virtual assistant named Elsie as a fast, convenient way to get answers to questions. Elsie is available in English or Spanish and offers online solutions for both providers and clients.

Elsie can help providers:

  • Check a claim status or appeal a claim.
  • Check client eligibility and client benefit limits.
  • Connect to the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
  • Learn more about provider enrollment.
  • Assist with provider portal login issues.

Providers should have their National Provider Identifier (NPI), ZIP code, and taxonomy number (if applicable) available when working with Elsie.

Elsie can help clients:

  • Order a replacement benefit card.
  • View eligibility.
  • Change Medicaid information.
  • Learn more about benefits.
  • Find a provider.
  • Check their correspondence status.

Users can select from common scenarios or type in their own question.
