Lunch and Learn New Provider Responsibilities Webinar (Part 2) Rescheduled for March 4, 2021

Last updated on

Note: Texas Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) must provide all medically necessary, Medicaid-covered services to eligible clients. Administrative procedures such as prior authorization, pre-certification, referrals, and claims/encounter data filing may differ from traditional Medicaid (fee-for-service) and from MCO to MCO. Providers should contact the client's specific MCO for details.

Due to power outages and inclement weather throughout Texas, TMHP has rescheduled Part 2 of the New Provider Responsibilities Webinar for March 4, 2021. Providers who registered for the webinar originally scheduled for February 18, 2021, do not need to re-register.

The webinar will feature important information for newly enrolled Texas Medicaid providers to ensure their success and compliance with Texas Medicaid. The webinar will also serve as a refresher for existing providers.

Topics Covered in Part 2

  • Introduction
  • Claim filing deadlines
  • Provider responsibilities including:
    • General medical record documentation requirements
    • Contracted and noncontracted Medicaid Advantage Plans
    • Third-party liabilities
    • Billing to clients
  • TMHP resources available to providers
