About the Texas DUR Board

Board members meet quarterly in Austin to make recommendations about outpatient prescription drugs in Texas Medicaid. The board is responsible for developing and submitting recommendations for the preferred drug list, suggesting clinical prior authorization criteria, recommending educational interventions for Medicaid providers, and reviewing drug utilization across Texas Medicaid.
