Last updated on

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Long-Term Care Regulation (LTCR) has published a revised COVID-19 Expansion of Reopening Visitation Emergency Rules. They are for Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) for Individuals with an Intellectual Disability (IID) or Related Conditions program providers. HHSC removed the following language:

“If an executive order or other direction is issued by the Governor of Texas, the President of the United States, or another applicable authority, that is more restrictive than this rule or any minimum standard relating to a facility, the facility must comply with the executive order or other direction.”

The rules became effective February 17, 2022.
