Update to “Suspension of Payment for Not Submitting the Required SB 809 Rider 143 Reports”

This is an update to the article titled “Suspension of Payment for Not Submitting the Required SB 809 Rider 143 Reports” that was posted on this website on July 20, 2022. The suspension of payment will not begin on August 12, 2022, as was previously communicated.

The suspension will begin at a later date to be determined by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC.) Providers that are affected will be notified in a future provider notification.

Providers that are considered health care institutions are still required to be compliant for SB 809/Rider 143 reporting per Texas Administrative Code (TAC) §355.7201 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Fund Reporting.

The list of affected providers can be found on the HHSC Provider Finance Department web page under Provider Finance Communications by selecting the SB 809/Rider 143 COVID-19 Reporting Healthcare Institution List drop-down list.
