Register Now for PASRR Webinars for Long-Term Care Providers

On November 3, 2022, and November 10, 2022, the Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) will offer two live training webinars to discuss the Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) program with long-term care (LTC) providers.

Note: Attendees should already be familiar with the LTC Online Portal. Those who are not familiar with the portal should register for and complete the LTC Online Portal Basics computer-based training (CBT) in the TMHP Learning Management System (LMS) prior to participating in the webinar. Please also note that webinars are no longer accessible using Internet Explorer. Preferred browsers are Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

The following is information on the webinars and how to register. Providers should register for and attend both webinar sessions.

LTC PASRR Webinar Part 1 of 2

Thursday, November 3, 2022 – 1 pm to 2:30 pm

Topics include:

  • What’s new in PASRR.
  • The PASRR process.
  • The PASRR Comprehensive Service Plan (PCSP) form.
  • Requesting authorization to deliver specialized services using the Nursing Facility Specialized Services (NFSS) form.
  • Locating provider resources.
  • Preventing Medicaid waste, abuse, and fraud.
  • Complying with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Helpful hints.

LTC PASRR Webinar Part 2 of 2

Thursday, November 10, 2022 – 1 pm to 2:30 pm

Topics include:

  • Medical necessity.
  • Fair hearings.
  • Validations requiring provider monitoring.
  • System and manual alerts.
  • Updating the PASRR Level 1 (PL1) screening form.
  • Inactivating PL1 forms.
  • Updating the PASRR Evaluation.
  • PASRR-specific functions on the yellow Form Actions bar.
  • Helpful hints.
  • Resources available to providers.
  • Preventing Medicaid waste, abuse, and fraud.
  • Complying with HIPAA.
