Last updated on

Following the repeal of the HCS Visitation and Mitigation COVID-19 Emergency Rules, HHSC Long-term Care Regulation will retire the COVID-19 Response for HCS Residential Provider and COVID-19 FAQs for HCS and TxHmL Providers, effective Nov. 1, 2022.

Program providers can obtain guidance along with resources for infection prevention, control measures and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the Infection Prevention and Control Measures for Common Infections in LTC Facilities and Infection Control Basics & Personal Protective Equipment for Essential Caregivers documents published by HHSC. These resources can also be found on the HCS Provider Portal page.

Program providers may reach out to LTCR Policy with questions at LTCRPolicy@hhs.texas.gov.
