TMHP Live Chat Support Implementing September 5, 2023

Last updated on

Note: Texas Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) must provide all medically necessary, Medicaid-covered services to Medicaid members who are enrolled in their MCO. Administrative procedures, such as prior authorization, precertification, referrals, and claims and encounter data filing, may differ from traditional Medicaid (fee-for-service) and from MCO to MCO. Providers should contact the member’s specific MCO for details.

Beginning September 5, 2023, the Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) will implement new features to enhance client support on tmhp.com. Here are some of the improvements:

  • Virtual chatbots will answer general and common questions from users.
  • Live chat with agents will be available in some situations.
  • Self-service options will be available for verifying claim status, client eligibility, and benefit limitations.
