You, your employees and agents are authorized to use CPT only as contained in materials on the Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) website solely for your own personal use in directly participating in healthcare programs administered by THHS. Important: FFS claims can take up to 24 hours to process after being submitted to Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP).

Miscellaneous FFS Claims

September 1, 2023, starts state fiscal year 2024. Miscellaneous claims occur when the service dates are earlier than two prior fiscal years plus the current fiscal year (Dates of service 9/1/2020 – 8/31/2021). Miscellaneous claims for services that are less than eight years old and/or claims that total less than $50,000 owed to a single legal entity are paid on a first-come, first-served basis using funds appropriated during each legislative session. Miscellaneous claims over $50,000 and/or for services more than eight years old cannot be paid except as a special line item in the state budget.

Important: The date payments are issued to your account will vary by financial institution. To obtain information about the status of FFS claim payments, providers may access the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts website at https://security.app.cpa.state.tx.us/Public/login and choose the Search State Payments Issued link.

All providers should continue to enter FFS claims as usual throughout the fiscal year 2023 claims processing closeout period. Providers may refer questions to HHSC Provider Claims Services at (512) 438-2200, Option 1.
