Last updated on

The Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) has identified an issue impacting long-term care (LTC) nursing facilities (NFs) that submit Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments. Specifically, when a user is completing Section RUG and selects option 1 or option 7 from the G0110. Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Assistance 1. Self-Performance drop-down list, the subsequent drop-down list for 2. Support fails to display all available options. This issue affects the following items:

  • Bed mobility
  • Transfer
  • Eating
  • Toilet use

On November 9, 2023, TMHP will implement a resolution to this issue. Prior to the implementation, NFs cannot submit MDS forms affected by these option combinations. If an NF has already submitted an MDS but could not select the correct combinations due to the limited options, they can make corrections after the data fix is applied on November 9, 2023.
