Nursing Facilities and Hospitals: Rider 150 Reporting Requirement

Last updated on

HHSC is collecting semi-annual COVID-19 federal fund reports from Nursing Facilities and Hospitals in accordance with the 2024-25 General Appropriations Act, House Bill 1, 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023 (Article II, HHSC, Rider 150).

  • Report 1 was due by March 1, 2024, for the period of Sept. 1, 2023, through Jan. 31, 2024;
  • Report 2 was due Sept. 1, 2024, for the period of Feb. 1 through July 31, 2024; and,
  • Report 3 – Deadline Extended: Due April 1, 2025, for the period of Aug. 1, 2024, through Jan. 31, 2025.

Nursing facilities and hospitals had the option to submit information for all three reporting periods, instead of just for Report 1, on March 1, 2024. If a provider chose to submit all three reports because they did not anticipate receiving any additional COVID-19 funds during the three reporting periods, no additional action is required unless a provider needs to change their response. The information received for Reports 1, 2, and 3 initially will be used to cover the reporting requirements for Report 3.

The updated reporting requirement is reflected in the Texas Administrative Code, Title 1, Part 15, Chapter 355, Subchapter I, Section 355.7201, concerning Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Fund Reporting. The amended rule became effective on Feb. 22, 2024.
