Last updated on

If you’re interested in quality improvement and value-based payment initiatives for Medicaid, other publicly funded health services, and the wider health care systems, you may want to apply to be a member of the Value Based Payment and Quality Improvement Advisory Committee.

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission Executive Commissioner will appoint members to the committee to serve a term expiring December 31, 2028.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m., May 23, 2025.

HHSC will consider the applicants' qualifications, background and interest in serving on the council and will try to choose council members who represent the geographic diversity of all Texans.

A committee member must regularly take part in committee meetings. They may also have to take part in subcommittee meetings or other related activities. Committee meetings are held about once every three months in Austin or at the call of the presiding officer. Members of the committee are not paid to participate in the work group nor reimbursed for their travel to and from meetings.
