HHSC reminds nursing facilities to review and update the facility’s bed classifications and floor plan. Timely and accurate updates are essential to maintain compliance and ensure correct occupancy reporting.
If your facility’s Medicaid bed allocation is being reduced due to low occupancy rates, as defined in 26 TAC §554.2322(j)(5), remember to update your bed classifications and floor plan effective Sept. 1, 2025.
