Correction to ‘Allergy Testing Evaluation and Management Limitation Language Updated’

Last updated on

Note: Texas Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) must provide all medically necessary, Medicaid-covered services to eligible clients. Administrative procedures such as prior authorization, pre-certification, referrals, and claims/encounter data filing may differ from traditional Medicaid (fee-for-service) and from MCO to MCO. Providers should contact the client's specific MCO for details.

This is a correction to an article titled “Allergy Testing Evaluation and Management Limitation Language Updated,” that was published on this website on December 13, 2019.

The article should have indicated that the following statement would be removed to align with policy updates:

An initial evaluation of a new patient is considered for reimbursement in addition to allergy testing on the same day.
