New Client Recertification Date Feature in MESAV

Last updated on

Beginning in August 2021, users of the TexMedConnect Medicaid Eligibility Service Authorization Verification (MESAV) will be able to view a client’s Medicaid recertification review due date in the eligibility section when it is available. Third-party users who submit 270 X12 batch and interactive transactions will be able to see the Medicaid recertification review due date on the 271 X12 response when it is available.

Note: The Medicaid recertification review due date is not available for all long-term care (LTC) clients.

Providers who use a third-party software to retrieve MESAV data from TMHP need to ensure their software provider is aware of these changes. Trading partner testing will be available in July 2021.

This update will assist LTC providers and managed care organizations in performing tasks to help Medicaid recipients meet their recertification date.
