You, your employees and agents are authorized to use CPT only as contained in materials on the Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) website solely for your own personal use in directly participating in healthcare programs administered by THHS. Long-Term Care Providers Fiscal Year 2021 Cutoff Dates for Fee-for Service Year-End Closeout Processing

This letter notifies providers of the following important claims processing cutoff dates. Please review the information detailed in the remainder of this letter.

Fiscal Year 2019 Miscellaneous Fee-for-Service (FFS) Claims Cutoff:
12:00 p.m. CT, Thursday, August 12, 2021

Fiscal Year 2021 FFS Claims Processing Cutoff:
12:00 p.m. CT, Tuesday, August 24, 2021

Important: FFS claims can take up to 24 hours to process after being submitted to Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP).

Miscellaneous FFS Claims

September 1, 2021, starts state fiscal year 2022. As a result, it is especially important to submit claims on a timely basis during the upcoming weeks. This is a reminder that, with the fiscal year change, any claims for services performed in fiscal year 2019 (September 1, 2018 to August 31, 2019) that TMHP receives after 12:00 p.m. CT, Monday, August 12, 2021, will become miscellaneous claims and cannot be paid through the standard Claims Management System payment process.

Important: The date payments are issued to your account will vary by financial institution. To obtain information about the status of FFS claim payments, providers may access the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts website at https://mycpa.cpa.state.tx.us/securitymp1portal/displayLogin User.do and choose the Search State Payments Issued link.

All providers should continue to enter FFS claims as usual throughout the fiscal year 2021 claims processing closeout period. Providers may refer questions to HHSC Provider Claims Services at (512) 438-2200, Option 1.
