Reimbursement Rate Updates for COVID-19 Vaccine Administration Procedure Code M0201 Effective June 8, 2021

Last updated on 9/17/2021

Note: Texas Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) must provide all medically necessary, Medicaid-covered services to eligible clients. Administrative procedures such as prior authorization, pre-certification, referrals, and claims/encounter data filing may differ from traditional Medicaid (fee-for-service) and from MCO to MCO. Providers should contact the client's specific MCO for details.

On August 24, 2021, for dates of service on or after June 8, 2021, the reimbursement rates for COVID-19 vaccine administration procedure code M0201 (payment amount for administering the COVID-19 vaccine in the home) were updated for Texas Medicaid and the Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) Services Program.
