Last updated on 12/22/2021

This is an update to the article titled “New ICD-10 COVID-19 Diagnosis Code Updates Effective January 1, 2021,” which was published on this website on December 30, 2020. The article incorrectly stated that the updates to the ICD diagnosis codes will be included in the All Patient Refined – Diagnosis Related Groups (APR-DRG) software (Version 38.1). The update is that the reference to the All Patient Refined – Diagnosis Related Groups (APR-DRG) software (Version 38.1) was included in error. The codes were added to the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision (ICD-10) but not the APR-DRG version 38.1.
