Changes for Client Access to Mosquito Repellent Benefit Effective June 1, 2022

Last updated on

Beginning June 1, 2022, providers must prescribe mosquito repellents for clients enrolled in Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Healthy Texas Women Program. Pharmacies will no longer accept the Texas Medicaid Standing Order for Mosquito Repellent to dispense products.

Refer to the Formulary Product search, and select the “mosquito repellent” filter to identify payable mosquito repellents.
