2022 International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision (ICD-10) Special Bulletin

Last updated on

Note: Texas Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) must provide all medically necessary, Medicaid-covered services to eligible clients. Administrative procedures such as prior authorization, precertification, referrals, and claims/encounter data filing may differ from traditional Medicaid (fee-for-service) and from MCO to MCO. Providers should contact the client's specific MCO for details.

The 2023 International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision (ICD-10), additions and deletions effective for dates of service on or after October 1, 2022, are now available in the 2022 ICD-10 Special Bulletin. The bulletin can be found on the Rate and Code Updates – ICD-10 Updates page of tmhp.com.

The Texas Medicaid Provider Procedures Manual and CSHCN Services Program Provider Manual will reflect the 2022 ICD-10 changes in the November 2022 release.
