Beginning September 5, 2023, the Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) will implement the following improvements to the Long-term Care (LTC) phone system, including the Automated Inquiry System (AIS):
- Menu options and messages will change.
- TMHP is adding direct transfers where applicable.
- The new system will have the ability to recognize menu options through touch-tone keypad selection or speech recognition.
Updated LTC Phone Menu Options
When calling 800-626-4117, the following new menu options will be available:
|Option 1||LTC customer service|
|Option 2||LTC nurses|
|Option 3||Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)|
|Option 4||Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)|
|Option 5||Fair Hearing (providers only)|
|Option 6||Third party liability (TPL) and other insurance (OI) updates to the Medicaid Eligibility Service Authorization Verification (MESAV)|
The following sub-options will be available on the LTC customer service menu (option 1 above):
|Option 1||Home and Community-based Services (HCS) and Texas Home Living (TxHmL) forms and claims inquiries|
|Option 2||Medical Necessity (MN)|
|Option 4||All other forms|
|Option 5||All other inquiries|
