July 2024 NDC-to-HCPCS Crosswalk Now Available for Clinician-Administered Drug Processing

Last updated on

The quarterly Texas National Drug Codes (NDC) to Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) Crosswalk is now available for clinician-administered drug (CAD) processing.

The NDC-to-HCPCS Crosswalk identifies relationships between NDC and Medicaid-reimbursable HCPCS codes. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) publishes the crosswalk based on quarterly additions to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ list of rebate-eligible drugs and new drugs added monthly to the First Databank pricing compendia.

Prescribing providers must use the crosswalk to ensure that claims are submitted with accurate NDC and drug information.

Prescribers may use the CAD Search or download the crosswalk to review this quarter's changes. Use the search instructions to search the CAD database. To download the crosswalk, go to the CAD Search web page, scroll to Data Files, select Layout Files, and click Clinician-administered Drug File Layout.
