July 2026 NDC-to-HCPCS Crosswalk Now Available for CAD Processing

Last updated on

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has published the updated Texas National Drug Codes (NDC) to Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) Crosswalk for clinician-administered drug (CAD) processing.

Prescribers can use the CAD Search or download the crosswalk to review this quarter's changes. Refer to the search instructions for more information on how to search the database.

To download the crosswalk, click the link to the text or Excel file of the CAD index on the Vendor Drug Program Data Files web page.

The NDC-to-HCPCS Crosswalk identifies relationships between NDC and Medicaid-reimbursable HCPCS codes. HHSC publishes the crosswalk using quarterly updates to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) rebate-eligible drug list and monthly updates to the First Databank pricing compendia.

Prescribing providers should use the crosswalk to ensure that claims are accurately submitted.
