Processing Delays for Portal Request Change Forms

Last updated on

The Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) is currently experiencing delays in processing Portal Request Change Forms (PRCFs). TMHP is working diligently to resolve the backlog.

Additional Security Step Required for Verification

TMHP has implemented an additional security step in the PRCF process to confirm a provider’s identity and obtain permission to make the requested changes. This will be done through a video conference. The verification must be completed during the video conference before the requested changes can be processed.

TMHP will reach out to providers to set up video conferences.

Maintaining NPI Account Access

Providers must ensure that they maintain access to their National Provider Identifier (NPI) account and that their account information is accurate and up to date. Providers should also ensure that authorized users (e.g., staff, billing personnel, or administrators) have the correct access levels and that their access is revoked when they no longer need it.

Active Administrator Accounts

TMHP recommends that providers always maintain at least two active administrators per practice location or contract number in case one administrator is unavailable.

Resources

The updated Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) My Account User Guideis now available.

This guide explains how to:

  • Manage user accounts to remove the administrative rights of an administrator.
